Cover-dated November 1990, Avengers West Coast #64 is a single-issue interlude in the Roy and Dann Thomas run, scripted instead by Terry Kavanagh with pencils and cover art by Chris Wozniak. Titled "Show and Tell," it steps outside the Pacific Overlords storyline that dominated the surrounding issues, giving page time to the original android Human Torch, Wonder Man, and the Great Lakes Avengers under Mister Immortal, a group Marvel had introduced a few years earlier in the same title. The issue arrives immediately after the first appearance of Living Lightning in #63, which absorbs nearly all of the collector attention in this stretch of the run.

Market profile is that of a late Copper Age Marvel team book with no first appearance, origin, or death to anchor demand. Certified activity is effectively nonexistent: the major price-tracking guides carry no recorded sales for the issue, and the surrounding numbers in the run register only isolated single sales at the top of the grade scale. Raw copies circulate in dealer dollar boxes and multi-issue lots, where they trade on run-completion demand rather than on the individual issue. What price support exists at the top end comes from the general scarcity of high-grade certified copies of low-print-interest 1990 direct-market Marvels, not from the content.

Buyers are almost entirely run collectors filling the 48-102 stretch of Avengers West Coast, Great Lakes Avengers completists, and readers following the original Human Torch's revival-era appearances. Raw copies in low and mid grades separate very little in price, so grade sensitivity only begins to matter at VF/NM and above; submitting a copy for certification costs more than the resulting slab is likely to bring unless a high-grade census position is the goal. Dealers are best served treating this as inventory depth for run sets, with any upside tied to renewed screen or publishing attention on the Great Lakes Avengers rather than to the issue's own history.
