Amazing Adventures #2 (June 1961) belongs to Marvel's brief run of pre-superhero anthology titles published in the transitional period just before the Fantastic Four launched the company's costumed-hero era. Like its contemporaries Tales to Astonish, Journey into Mystery, and Amazing Adult Fantasy, the book collected short science-fiction and fantasy stories produced under Stan Lee's editorial hand, with Jack Kirby supplying cover work in the moody, monster-adjacent style typical of the line. This is not the same series as the 1970s Amazing Adventures that launched with Neal Adams' Inhumans strip and later shifted to Black Widow; that title restarted numbering as a new volume nearly a decade later, and the two are frequently confused because they share a name.
