Yellowed tape on the back spine edge. Date stamp on the back cover. Heavily worn, chipped spine with a sliver missing and creases. Last interior page torn. Cream to light tan pages.

Batman #169 (DC Comics, February 1965) brings back the Penguin in "Partners in Plunder!", his second Silver Age appearance: a string of gimmicked-umbrella stunts that steal nothing turns out to be a setup to trick Batman into planning the theft of a jeweled meteorite from the Gotham City Museum. The issue arrives during the mid-1960s stretch of the Batman title overseen by editor Julius Schwartz, as the character moved away from the more whimsical stories of the late 1950s.
