World's Finest Comics #129 arrived in November 1962 during the long Edmond Hamilton-scripted, Curt Swan-drawn stretch that defined the title's Superman-Batman team-up format throughout the early 1960s. Like most issues from this run, it delivers a self-contained adventure pairing the two DC flagships alongside Robin, part of a formula that ran largely uninterrupted for over a decade and helped sustain the team-up concept until later, more heavily hyped issues such as the Composite Superman debut a few years on. It is a representative, well-crafted example of the era's house style rather than a storyline milestone.
