Wonder Man's first ongoing title gave Simon Williams a solo platform after decades as an Avengers and West Coast Avengers supporting player, recasting him as a Los Angeles stuntman and aspiring actor. This sixth installment is scripted by Gerard Jones with pencils by Jeff Johnson, inks by Jan Harps, and a cover by Johnson with Terry Austin; Beast appears alongside the reformed Rampage and the series' Hollywood-adjacent supporting cast, including Lotus Newmark and Alex Flores. The run is a representative example of early-1990s Marvel line expansion, produced at high print volume for the direct market, and it contains no first appearance or origin content that price guides treat as key.

Market behavior follows the series' circulation figures rather than its creative merits. Print runs for the title ran well over one hundred thousand copies, and surviving inventory is deep enough that dealers routinely move mid-run issues out of bulk boxes and short-box assortments. Third-party grading is scarce because submission fees exceed any realistic return outside the very top of the grade scale, so certified sales are episodic and shallow; what certified activity exists clusters in the 9.6-9.8 range and reflects the cost of encapsulation more than collector competition. Interest in the character has been buoyed somewhat by live-action development at Marvel Studios, but that attention concentrates almost entirely on the first issue and on Avengers #9 rather than mid-run chapters.

Buyers for this book are run collectors completing the twenty-nine-issue series, Beast completists, and readers tracking Gerard Jones's Marvel work. Across grades the spread is compressed: low-grade and mid-grade raw copies trade at essentially the same nominal level, with condition mattering only insofar as a clean copy is easier to sell into a set. Meaningful separation appears only at the certified high end, where the premium is a function of grading economics. For a dealer archive, it is best positioned as run-fill or bundle inventory, with any high-grade census copy handled opportunistically.
