Thor #19 falls in the second year of the 1998 relaunch that followed Heroes Return, written throughout by Dan Jurgens with Michael Ryan penciling this chapter over Klaus Janson inks. The story continues the Enchanters storyline, with Odin and the Thunder God fighting free of the beast summoned in Ringsfjord while Loki and Mephisto maneuver around the Jake Olson identity that had defined the series premise since issue #1.
