West Coast Avengers #24 (cover date September 1987) closes the eight-part "Lost in Space-Time" storyline written by Steve Englehart, with pencils by Al Milgrom, inks by Mike Machlan, and a Milgrom/Machlan cover. Having been scattered through ancient Egypt and the frontier West by the alien Dominus, Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Iron Man, Wonder Man, Tigra, Moon Knight, and Hank Pym reach the present and take the fight to Dominus's base, with flashback material filling in the villain's background. The issue also carries the immediate fallout of the previous chapter, in which Mockingbird allowed the Phantom Rider to fall to his death and began concealing it from her husband — a thread Englehart would not resolve until #35, and one later revisited in Hawkeye & Mockingbird. The consequential story beat belongs to #23; #24 functions as the epilogue and reset for the series' next direction.
