There is a noticeable vertical crease running through the upper 'THING' logo area and diagonal stress lines near the top right corner, along with some minor surface scuffing. Corners show light rounding/wear, and there's a small crease near the spine at upper left. Interior and back cover were not assessed; grade based solely on visible front cover condition.

The Thing #29 belongs to Marvel's solo ongoing series for the ever-lovin' member of the Fantastic Four, launched in 1983 to give Ben Grimm room to develop outside the team book. By late 1985 the title was handled by a rotating group of Marvel journeymen writers and artists, with Ron Wilson providing much of the interior art across the run. This issue reflects the workmanlike, character-driven storytelling typical of the series rather than any landmark story event, first appearance, or origin.
