Eternals #3 (December 1985) is part of the short-lived second Eternals ongoing series, launched a decade after Jack Kirby's original 1976-78 run introduced the cosmic race of super-beings created by the Celestials. This iteration was written by Peter B. Gillis with art by Sal Buscema, continuing storylines involving the Eternals' ongoing conflict with the Deviants and their uneasy place among humanity and the wider Marvel cosmology. The series ran only twelve issues before cancellation, positioning this issue as a mid-run chapter in a title that never achieved the sales or cultural traction of Kirby's original.

The book trades as unremarkable Copper Age Marvel filler.
