Cover shows strong gloss and sharp corners with no visible creases or spine stress lines; the black background makes any white stress marks easy to spot and none are evident here. Cover-dated December 1993, this issue is the seventh chapter of Siege of Darkness, the seventeen-part crossover that ran through Marvel's Midnight Sons line and pulled Doctor Strange's own title into the orbit of Ghost Rider, Blaze, Vengeance, Nightstalkers, Morbius and the Darkhold Redeemers. Written by David Quinn with pencils and cover art by Mel Rubi, it marks the start of the Quinn/Rubi tenure that would shortly reshape the book, stripping Strange of his familiar power base and pushing him toward the alternate identities that defined the mid-1990s run. The story, subtitled "Scatter and Sister Nil," brings the assembled Midnight Sons to the Sanctum Sanctorum as Lilith's siege reaches Strange's doorstep.

Market-wise this is a high-print-run direct-edition book from the deepest part of the speculation glut, and it trades accordingly. Raw copies circulate constantly in dealer boxes and online bulk lots, and grade makes almost no difference below the near-mint tier, since virtually every surviving copy came out of a comic shop rather than a spinner rack. What demand exists is driven by Midnight Sons completists assembling the full crossover in reading order rather than by single-issue speculation, and that demand is steady but shallow. Certified copies are scarce chiefly because submission costs have never made economic sense here, which is the only real support under the top of the grading scale.

Buyers are set collectors filling the Sorcerer Supreme run, Ghost Rider and Midnight Sons crossover chasers, and the occasional registry builder chasing an unusually thin census. In low and mid grades the book is a fill-in purchase, best moved in runs or with the rest of the crossover attached, where the crossover as a unit carries more value than the sum of its chapters. At the certified top end pricing is set by scarcity of submissions rather than by underlying character demand, so it is sensitive to any renewed interest in the Midnight Sons properties and should be treated as a speculative rather than a blue-chip position.
