Warlock Chronicles #1 launched a short-lived 1993 Marvel series expanding on the cosmic mythology Jim Starlin had built around Adam Warlock across Infinity Gauntlet and Infinity War. Starlin plotted the series with Ron Marz scripting and Tom Grindberg providing art, continuing the exploration of Warlock's fragmented psyche, embodied separately as the heroic Warlock and the villainous Magus. The book arrived at the tail end of Marvel's early-1990s cosmic event boom, riding the popularity of the Infinity Gauntlet crossover rather than introducing any new characters or storylines of lasting significance.

Value is concentrated almost entirely in the 9.8 tier, where a thin but persistent stream of sales supports pricing in the $50-85 range over the past year; grades below 9.4 show negligible sales activity and correspondingly minimal pricing, typical of a book bought mainly for completeness rather than speculation. There is no meaningful first-appearance or landmark-creator premium driving demand.

This issue functions as a bulk-bin or long-box filler in raw grades, appealing chiefly to Warlock or Starlin-cosmic-saga completists assembling the full Infinity-era run.
