Cover shows generally sharp corners and clean gloss with strong color; however there is minor spine stress noted near the mid-spine area with a few faint white ticks, and a small crease line visible in the sky area near the top of the diving figure. Edges appear slightly rubbed at the top corners. The book is in a protective sleeve, which may be masking minor surface wear; back cover and interior pages were not assessed.

The West Coast Avengers #7 (cover-dated April 1986) closes out the "Mark Twelve" Ultron sequence that Steve Englehart and Al Milgrom built across the title's first year, with Milgrom penciling and Joe Sinnott inking. The premise inverts the character's usual function: Ultron-12, calling himself Mark, seeks reconciliation with his creator Hank Pym rather than the extermination of humanity, while the hostile Ultron-11 salvaged from the Secret Wars aftermath moves against him. The Thing and Firebird guest-star, Hank Pym's post-Avengers rehabilitation continues as a running subplot, and the issue also introduces Ultimatum Inc. Mark Twelve's death here gives the story genuine consequence within continuity, though the character's debut belongs to the series' first issue rather than this one.

Market behavior matches that of a mid-run Copper Age Marvel title with a small but steady collector base. Demand for the 1985 series concentrates almost entirely on the first issue and on the Vision-related issues in the forties, which have drawn speculative money whenever Wanda and Vision projects have been in the news; issues in the single digits trade quietly, usually as run fill or in bulk lots. Raw copies in reading grades move for pocket change, and even high-grade unslabbed copies rarely clear more than a few dollars, since the print run was substantial and direct-market copies survive in quantity. Certified copies are scarce on the census simply because the economics of submission discourage grading, which means graded results are sporadic and set as much by grading cost and Registry completion as by underlying demand.

Buyers are Avengers continuity readers, Ultron and Hank Pym completists, Englehart followers, and Registry set builders working the full 1985-1994 run. Across grades the spread is compressed at the bottom and steep at the top: low-grade and mid-grade raw copies are interchangeable commodity material best acquired within runs or lots, while a certified NM/M copy is effectively a scarcity play on a title few people bothered to submit. Anyone buying for value should look to the run's recognized keys; this issue is a story-driven mid-run book that rewards patience and low acquisition cost rather than resale speed.
