This issue is part of the long-running BSV-Williams Verlag Tarzan line, a German-market periodical that reprinted Edgar Rice Burroughs's Tarzan newspaper strip and comic-book material for European newsstand distribution during the 1970s. Unlike the concurrent Marvel and DC Tarzan runs published for the American market, this Bronze Age Williams printing was produced strictly for German-speaking readers and carries no first-appearance, origin, or landmark-creator claim of its own; it is a licensed reprint vehicle rather than an original-content key issue.

Demand for this title comes almost exclusively from a narrow band of collectors: German comics historians, completionist Tarzan and Edgar Rice Burroughs enthusiasts, and dealers who specialize in Bildschriftenverlag and Williams Verlag output. There is no CGC population for this printing and essentially no cross-border secondary market beyond scattered eBay and German auction-site listings, so pricing tracks general foreign-reprint back-issue levels rather than any US key-issue benchmark.

The book trades as an inexpensive foreign curiosity rather than an investment-grade item at any grade. Low-grade and mid-grade raw copies move steadily but cheaply among European Tarzan completists and BSV-Williams archivists, while a certified 9.8 would be a novelty submission with no established buyer base and pricing that would depend entirely on a motivated Burroughs specialist rather than an active graded market.
