Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #106 arrived in September 1967 as part of DC's long-running, Superman-adjacent title built around Jimmy Olsen's transformations, gadget-driven capers, and science-fiction plots. The series during this stretch was steered editorially by Mort Weisinger, with Otto Binder's fingerprints on much of the writing and Curt Swan's clean, classicist pencils defining the house look for the Superman family of titles. Issue #106 continues that formula without introducing a first appearance, origin, or death that price guides single out, making it a representative rather than pivotal entry in the run.

The certified population is thin and sales activity is sparse, with only a handful of graded copies recorded across the mid grades and a small cluster of sales in the low $30s at grades 5 through 8.
