Cover shows notable wear including a vertical crease/fold line running through the DC logo area and left edge, corner rounding at top left and bottom corners, and a diagonal crease across the upper right near the price box. There is some surface soiling and slight color rubbing along the spine area with a small stress line visible. The book is in a protective sleeve which somewhat obscures fine edge detail; interior and back cover were not assessed.

Strange Adventures #167 arrived in August 1964 as part of DC's long-running science-fiction anthology line, appearing after the title's popular Adam Strange feature had concluded its run in the previous decade of the series. By this point the book had reverted to a rotating slate of standalone speculative-fiction stories, typical of the genre packaging that made Strange Adventures a mainstay of DC's Silver Age output alongside Mystery in Space. No first appearances, origin stories, or landmark creator milestones are associated with this specific issue.
The market profile reflects a book with limited collector demand relative to other Silver Age DC properties. Census population is extremely small across all grades, with only a handful of certified copies reported and just one grade point (9.4) carrying a documented fair market value. This scarcity is a function of low submission volume rather than active competition for the title, and sales activity even at the top of the census remains sparse. The absence of any 9.8 on record after decades in the CGC pipeline further signals a book collectors have not prioritized for top-grade preservation.
Strange Adventures #167 trades as a supporting piece for Silver Age DC anthology runs and science-fiction genre collectors rather than as a standalone target. Lower-grade raw copies move modestly as reading copies or run-fillers, mid-grade raw copies see occasional interest from series completists, and a high-grade certified example would likely draw a specialist buyer assembling a run of the title rather than commanding broad competitive bidding.
