Panini France launched this Silver Surfer magazine in the mid-1990s as part of the wave of European repackagings that followed Panini's takeover of Marvel licensing on the continent. Demand for this issue sits almost entirely within the French collector market, where it trades as a periodical rather than as a graded collectible. Completed sales cluster in low single-digit euros for run issues, with first numbers commanding a small premium from collectors assembling the complete thirteen-issue sequence. There is no established American price structure: the material inside is available in cheaper and more familiar US-format originals, so the appeal is format and language specificity, not content scarcity. Certified examples are effectively absent from the census, which means any high-grade valuation rests on certification economics and on the modest but real interest in top-graded international editions rather than on observed slab sales.

The natural buyers are French run collectors, Castellini cover completists, and specialists in international Marvel editions who track how US storylines were resequenced for European newsstands. Across grades the spread is compressed: reading copies and clean copies are separated by only a few dollars, and the practical decision for a dealer is whether to sell singly or bundle the run, which usually realizes more than piecemeal sales.
