Launched in June 2003 as part of Marvel's short-lived, manga-influenced Tsunami imprint, Sentinel #1 introduces Juston Seyfert, a working-class Midwestern teenager who unearths and rebuilds a wrecked Sentinel robot in his father's salvage yard. Written by Sean McKeever with art from UDON Studios (Joe Vriens/Scott Hepburn), the series reframed the X-Men's iconic mutant-hunting machines as a coming-of-age buddy story rather than a menace. It marks the first appearance of Juston, a character who has since resurfaced periodically in the broader X-Men and Avengers Academy corner of the Marvel Universe.

As a market object the book is squarely a modern-age common: printed in ordinary quantities, widely available raw, and infrequently certified. Demand is driven almost entirely by McKeever completists and by the modest, recurring interest in Juston's first appearance rather than by scarcity. Full twelve-issue runs change hands cheaply, which caps single-issue upside, and low-grade copies carry essentially no premium over reader condition. The only real pricing separation appears at the top of the grade ladder, where the scarcity of high-census slabs creates a modest bump.

The buyer for this book is a Tsunami-era or McKeever collector, an X-Men peripheral-character specialist, or someone speculating lightly on Juston Seyfert's continued use in current continuity. Raw copies trade in bulk-adjacent territory across low and mid grades, with little grade-to-grade differentiation until true near-mint. A certified high-grade example is worth submitting only when a clean 9.8 is plausible, as anything below that offers scant return over a raw copy.
