The fourth and final chapter of the 1998 Moon Knight limited series brought Doug Moench, the character's co-creator, back to Marc Spector after nearly a decade away, closing out the "Resurrection War" storyline in an extended thirty-page finale. Tommy Lee Edwards supplied the covers and lead art with Robert Campanella on inks, and John Paul Leon contributed pencils to this issue, an early professional pairing of two artists whose moody, high-contrast draftsmanship would define much of the noir-inflected commercial illustration of the following decade. The issue gathers the series' full supporting cast and antagonist roster – Marlene Alraune, Frenchie, Crawley, and Gena Landers alongside Bushman, the Black Spectre, and the dream demon Morpheus – and functions as Moench's summation of the mystical, fractured-identity approach that later writers built on.

Market behavior here is that of a low-print-run late-1990s Marvel book with no first appearance or origin to anchor it. Raw copies move steadily but cheaply through dealer inventory and eBay, most often as part of a complete four-issue set rather than as singles, and the spread between a well-worn copy and a solid mid-grade example is negligible because supply in higher grades is adequate for the demand. The certified side is different in character: distribution in 1998 was modest, few copies were ever submitted, and the census at the top of the scale is thin enough that a single motivated buyer sets the price. Interest in the title rose measurably after Moon Knight's live-action adaptation drew new readers toward the character's back catalog, and the 2021 death of John Paul Leon added a collector constituency tracking his credited work.

Buyers fall into three groups: Moon Knight completists filling the gap between Marc Spector: Moon Knight and the 2006 relaunch, readers following Moench's late-career return to the character, and art-driven collectors chasing early Tommy Lee Edwards and John Paul Leon pages. For the first two groups the book is a run-filler and trades accordingly across the lower and middle grades, where condition sensitivity is minimal and shipping cost is a meaningful share of the transaction. Certification only makes economic sense at the very top of the grade scale, and even there liquidity is slow – copies can sit before finding the right buyer, so the certified bracket should be read as a realistic ask rather than a reliable clearing price.
