Marvel Team-Up #62 pairs Spider-Man with Carol Danvers, then operating as Ms. Marvel, against the shape-shifting menace of the Super-Skrull. The issue was scripted by Chris Claremont, who was simultaneously building his long run on X-Men and had a hand in Ms. Marvel's own title around this period, giving the crossover a bit of connective tissue for readers following both books. Gil Kane and Mike Esposito supplied the cover, while John Byrne contributed interior art alongside Kane's pencils, placing two artists soon to define much of Marvel's late-1970s output on the same book. Jean DeWolff, the NYPD captain who would recur through Spider-Man's supporting cast for years, also appears.

As a middle issue in Marvel Team-Up's long and unglamorous run, #62 was never treated as a standout by the direct market or by price guides, and it carries no first appearance, death, or landmark story credit. This is a book for Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel/Carol Danvers completists rounding out long runs, or for Byrne and Claremont collectors assembling early-career work, rather than a speculative or key-driven purchase. Raw copies move steadily at low prices regardless of grade nuance, and the rare graded submission attracts only a small premium reflecting scarcity of high-grade census population rather than any inherent demand spike. It trades, in short, like the ordinary mid-run issue it is.
