Cover shows moderate wear consistent with a mid-grade copy: visible creasing and rubbing along the spine with some minor color break, a soft crease across the lower right corner area, and light surface wear/scuffing across the dark background art that reveals faint white fibers in spots. Corners appear slightly blunted rather than sharp, and there is minor edge wear along the top and right edges. The book is in a protective sleeve which adds some glare, and only the front cover was visible for assessment; interior pages and back cover were not evaluated.

Iron Man Annual #4 (1977) is a Bronze Age team-up special written by Bill Mantlo with pencils by George Tuska and a cover by Al Milgrom, teaming Iron Man with several members of the short-lived Champions roster (Black Widow, Angel, Iceman, Hercules, Ghost Rider) against the recurring Marvel villain M.O.D.O.K. and the lesser-known Midnight Sun. It is a solid example of mid-1970s Marvel's oversized annual format, notable chiefly for its guest-star lineup rather than any first appearance, origin, or landmark creative milestone.

The FMV curve shows a book with a large surviving population across the grading spectrum, including sizable counts at 9.4 through 9.8, and pricing that stays flat and modest through the mid grades before climbing at the top of the census. Demand is driven almost entirely by completionist collectors of the Iron Man and Champions runs rather than speculative key-issue buying, and sales volume at every grade remains thin, keeping the market narrow but stable.

This is a book for run-builders and Bronze Age Marvel completists rather than investment-grade buyers. Raw copies in low and mid grade trade for a few dollars and rarely see dedicated sales, while the CGC 9.8 population, though not huge, is large enough relative to demand that top-grade copies command a real but unspectacular premium over mid-grade material. Expect steady, unhurried turnover rather than active bidding wars at any grade tier.
