Minor handling wear is possible along the spine but none is clearly visible through the protective sleeve; edges appear clean and square. No staining, tears, or writing is visible on the front cover. Gun Runner #2 continues the six-issue Marvel UK limited series launched as part of the short-lived Gene Pool line, written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning with pencils by Anthony Williams, inks by Jeff Anderson, and colors by David Leach. Brell, the enhanced Vassyran soldier stranded on Earth after an interstellar war, clashes with the Dan Ketch Ghost Rider before the two make common cause against the Cynodd and their War-Dogs, with Johnny Blaze also on hand; the issue introduces the Enhanced and several of Brell's former squad in flashback. The book sits in the last wave of Marvel UK's American-market expansion, and its Ghost Rider crossover content ties it loosely into the Midnight Sons corner of Marvel continuity at the height of that franchise's popularity.

Market profile is that of a saturated 1993 print run with no sustained collector following. The series was distributed in quantity, the property never returned in any meaningful way, and secondary demand is limited to Ghost Rider completists and readers filling out Abnett and Lanning bibliographies. Retail sites carry the issue at or near cover-era pricing, raw copies trade for shipping-driven sums, and the certified market is empty: no third-party-graded example of any issue in the run appears in public sales data, which means a slab exists only as a function of what someone chose to spend on submission fees.

Collecting outlook is narrow and stable. Low- and mid-grade copies function as bulk inventory and are best moved in Marvel UK or Ghost Rider-adjacent lots rather than priced individually. High-grade raw copies are abundant because the book was bought as speculation and stored, so condition scarcity does not drive value; a certified 9.8 would appeal chiefly to a registry-minded Ghost Rider collector and should be understood as a cost-of-grading proposition rather than an appreciating asset. Buyers seeking Abnett and Lanning's early Marvel work will find this among the least expensive entry points available.
