This is the second of four issues First Comics produced adapting Filmation's 1986 Ghostbusters animated series — a property distinct from the Columbia film franchise, following Jake Kong, Eddie Spenser, and the gorilla Tracy rather than the movie's proton-pack team. The "Ghostasaurus" story trades on the cartoon's Saturday-morning tone, and the dinosaur cover is the issue's most memorable feature. As licensed television tie-in material of the era, it sits well outside First's more collected creator-driven output, and it carries no first appearances, origins, or landmark creative work.

The book's market profile is that of a scarce but low-demand Copper Age licensed title. The certified census is tiny — roughly a dozen graded copies total — which lets a top-grade slab command a disproportionate figure relative to the modest interest in the series. In raw condition the issue is inexpensive and routinely surfaces in bargain bins, with high-grade certified examples the only copies that fetch meaningful money, driven by the difficulty of finding pristine survivors rather than by collector competition.

Buyers here are primarily Ghostbusters completists, Filmation and Saturday-morning cartoon collectors, and registry-minded slab hunters chasing the thin high-grade census. Across grades the value curve is flat until the very top, where scarcity supports a premium; mid- and low-grade raw copies remain affordable filler, while a certified near-mint copy is the only version that trades as a genuine collectible.
