Cover shows strong gloss and sharp corners with no visible creases or color breaks. Spine appears tight with only minimal stress lines visible near the top edge. There is slight edge wear at the lower right corner and minor surface handling marks, but overall the book presents very clean. The comic is in a protective plastic sleeve, and interior pages and back cover were not assessed.

Fantastic Four #197 (Marvel, August 1978) finds the team once again squaring off against Doctor Doom, with the Soviet super-scientist Red Ghost and his simianized cosmic-ray-empowered agents complicating the conflict.
