DC Comics Presents Annual #4 (1985) reunites Superman with the Global Guardians, the international superhero team created by E. Nelson Bridwell and Ramona Fradon for the Super Friends comic in 1977. Scripted by Bridwell with art by Alex Saviuk, this annual folds the team into mainstream DC Universe continuity and features the debut, under those names, of Green Flame and Icemaiden, two members who would be renamed Fire and Ice two years later as founding members of Keith Giffen and J.M. DeMatteis's Justice League International. The book is otherwise a standard giant-size team-up annual of the type DC ran regularly through its various team-up titles in the mid-1980s.

Market demand for this issue is driven almost entirely by the Fire and Ice tie-in rather than by Superman's presence, since DC Comics Presents itself was a high-volume, low-collectability team-up title. It sits well outside the recognized-key tier: there is no origin, death, or first appearance of a major character here, only the reintroduction of pre-existing Super Friends characters under new codenames. As a result it trades as a common Copper Age annual, with most collector interest coming from JLI completists and Fire/Ice character collectors rather than Superman specialists.

Expect this title to move steadily but modestly across all grades: raw copies are readily available in dollar bins and mid-grade lots, while CGC-slabbed high-grade examples appeal to a narrow band of graded-set builders and character-specific collectors willing to pay a premium for a clean 9.8 given the relatively small number submitted. It is a solid filler piece for a Superman or Justice League International-themed collection rather than a marquee lot.
