Cover shows sharp corners and clean, unworn edges with no visible creases or spine stress lines. Colors appear vibrant with no fading or staining, and the glossy surface shows good reflectivity typical of a well-preserved book. The comic is in a protective sleeve, which helps but slightly obscures fine surface detail; back cover and interior pages were not assessed.

Published with a December 1993 cover date, this issue arrives near the end of Marvel's sixteen-issue Darkhold: Pages from the Book of Sins, the occult-investigation title anchoring the Midnight Sons line alongside Nightstalkers, Morbius, and Ghost Rider/Blaze: Spirits of Vengeance. Chris Cooper scripts with pencils by Rurik Tyler, inks by Bob Downs, and color by Gina Going; the chapter feeds directly into the Siege of Darkness crossover, with the Darkhold Redeemers scattered among the Lilin and Doctor Strange's circle. Its principal story event is the death of Louise Hastings at the hands of a possessed Morbius, closing out a character introduced at the launch of the series, and Ghost Rider appears in support.

Market behavior here is typical of early-1990s Marvel horror mid-run material: print runs were healthy, survival rates in high grade are good, and supply is dominated by run sellers and bulk lots rather than single-book buyers. Interest in the Darkhold name rose with the book's use in Marvel Studios productions and with continuing attention to Blade and the Midnight Sons, but that demand concentrated almost entirely on the first issue and on first appearances, leaving later chapters trading at or near cover-equivalent levels. Certified examples are scarce not because the issue is hard to find in high grade but because grading economics rarely justify submission, which is what supports the spread between raw and slabbed outcomes.

At the certified level the ceiling is set by scarcity of submissions rather than by demand, so pricing is thin, episodic, and vulnerable to a single new listing; patient sellers, not motivated ones, capture the premium.
