Captain America #366 arrived amid the Acts of Vengeance crossover, a line-wide Marvel event that shuffled villains against unfamiliar heroes; here Cap contends with Crossbones, King Cobra, and a Kingpin-orchestrated scheme, with Doctor Doom and the Juggernaut also drawn into the fray. Mark Gruenwald's long writing tenure on the title continued through this stretch, and the issue holds a small footnote in art history as the first Captain America issue penciled by Ron Lim, working from Mark Bagley layouts, with Danny Bulanadi inking and providing the cover.

Market activity for this issue is thin across the board. Certified sales cluster at the top of the census, with 9.6 copies trading in the $40 range and virtually nothing recorded below that outside a single 8.0 sale near $10. This is a book for run-builders and Captain America completists rather than speculative buyers. Raw copies in low and mid grades are essentially bulk-bin material, priced for shelf-filling rather than investment. Higher-grade certified copies, particularly a well-centered 9.8, would appeal to Ron Lim art collectors and Acts of Vengeance crossover completists, but the shallow sales record means pricing at the top end remains more theoretical than proven, and buyers should expect wide bid-ask gaps until more 9.8 transactions establish a clearer ceiling.
