The All-New Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z was a twelve-issue monthly reference series launched in 2006, extending the Handbook franchise begun by Mark Gruenwald in 1983 into a full alphabetical survey of Marvel characters, teams, objects, locations, and alternate Earths. This third issue continues into the C and D entries, with profiles including the Cosmic Cube, Crimson Cowl, Darkdevil, Darkstar, the Daughters of the Dragon, two versions of Death's Head, Demogoblin, Diamondback, Doctor Nemesis, Doop, Dormammu, Drax the Destroyer, and Ethan Edwards. The writing was handled by the Handbook research team of Jeff Christiansen, Ronald Byrd, Michael Hoskin, Sean McQuaid, Stuart Vandal, Eric J. Moreels, and others, with a wraparound-style cover by Keu Cha; the format ran 64 pages with no ads. The series is valued by readers as a continuity resource rather than as a narrative comic, and it contains no first appearances, origins, or deaths of consequence.
