Action Comics #559 belongs to the final pre-Crisis stretch of the title, edited by Julius Schwartz with E. Nelson Bridwell. The lead story, "The Once and Future Peril," is scripted by Bob Rozakis with pencils by Kurt Schaffenberger and inks by Dave Hunt, pitting Superman against the Yellow Peri, a minor sorceress antagonist revived from the Superman family's Silver Age supporting cast. A backup feature carries art by Alex Saviuk, while Eduardo Barreto supplies the cover. Dealers are best served moving raw stock in volume and reserving certification for copies with genuine top-census potential.
