Action Comics #370 (December 1968) is a standard-run Silver Age Superman issue published during DC's late-1960s Man of Steel stable, when Curt Swan's pencils defined the character's visual identity for readers of the era. The issue does not carry a first appearance, an origin, or a landmark creative milestone that price guides single out; it is representative of the dependable monthly Superman anthology storytelling that filled out Action Comics in this period, appealing chiefly to completists building a run rather than to key-issue speculators.
Market data reflects that status: sales are thin and concentrated in the mid and high grades, with a single recent transaction anchoring the low-grade average near forty dollars and modest, single-digit sale counts even at the top of the census. Demand tracks general Silver Age Superman collecting rather than any issue-specific catalyst, and pricing across grades shows the gradual, unspectacular climb typical of unheralded back-issues rather than the steep curve seen in recognized keys. With only one 9.8 recorded and no trades at that grade, top-end value is necessarily inferred from the shape of the 9.4-to-9.6 progression plus a scarcity premium for the sole census copy.
This is a book for run-builders and Silver Age Superman specialists rather than investment-grade buyers. Low and mid-grade raw copies move steadily but cheaply within longbox and bulk-lot commerce, while high-grade certified copies see occasional, thinly-traded interest from census-chasers seeking to claim the top population slot. Absent a rediscovered creative or historical hook, the issue is expected to continue trading as a solid but unremarkable supporting piece within a broader Action Comics collection.
