The sixth issue of the 1985 maxiseries pairs Steve Englehart's scripting with Richard Howell pencils and Frank Springer inks for a domestic set piece that doubles as a mutant-family reckoning. Vision and Wanda host Thanksgiving in Leonia; the guest list draws in Quicksilver, Crystal, and, uninvited by mood if not by name, Magneto, whose recently established paternity of the twins gives the dinner-table confrontation its charge. The evening breaks up when the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Toad among them, forces the assembled heroes outside. Englehart used the twelve-issue run to consolidate the Maximoff family tree that Avengers had sketched in the late 1970s, and this installment is one of its more talked-about character chapters, though the run's recognized key remains the double-sized final issue with the birth of the twins.

Market behavior follows the series rather than the issue. Prices across the 1985 run were dormant for decades, spiked sharply with the 2021 streaming series that borrowed the title and premise, and have since settled into a lower, steadier band. Non-key numbers such as this one carry no first-appearance premium and are treated as run filler in raw grades, where copies circulate in back-issue boxes and are usually bought as part of complete twelve-issue sets. Certified demand is real but shallow: the census is small because few submitters see value in slabbing a mid-run Copper Age book, which keeps top-grade sales infrequent and somewhat volatile when they do occur. Newsstand distribution was still dominant in 1986, so the copy type described commands little separation from direct-market examples at this level, with any edge appearing only in high-grade certified copies where newsstand paper and spine quality are scarcer.

Buyers divide into two groups. Set collectors and Englehart/Howell readers absorb the raw supply, generally paying single digits and caring more about completeness than about the half-grade distinctions between a well-read copy and a solid mid-grade one. The certified market belongs to MCU-driven collectors assembling high-grade Wanda and Vision shelves, who will pay a multiple of raw money for a 9.8 but show little appetite for 9.4 and below, where slabbing costs exceed the spread. Expect a flat curve from low to mid grade and a steep step at the top of the census, with liquidity best when the character returns to screens and softer in between.
