// Archive commentary
Superman #248 (DC Comics, February 1972) leads with "The Man Who Murdered the Earth!", an 18-page story written by Len Wein, pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by Murphy Anderson. It marks the first appearance of the Galactic Golem, who returned in Superman #258.
The backup is "All in the Mind!", an eight-page World of Krypton tale by Marv Wolfman and Dave Cockrum, and the issue closes with a reprint, "Muto Versus the Man of Tomorrow!". The cover is by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson.
It belongs to the early-1970s Bronze Age run of the title, collected mostly by run builders and for the Golem's debut.
