Market data shows a typical Silver Age Marvel demand curve: steady, incremental pricing through the mid and lower grades, followed by a sharp climb once a copy clears the low 9-point range. Sales volume is healthy across the grading spectrum, with well over 700 CGC Universal copies on census, indicating the issue has always been readily available to collectors building a complete Lee-Kirby FF run rather than chased as a standalone grail. The scarcity of high-grade submissions above 9.4, with no 9.6 or 9.8 sales on record, is the primary driver of the outsized jump in value once a copy approaches the top of the census.
