Certified population is substantial for a mid-1960s title, with over 3,100 Universal copies on census, yet the price curve steepens sharply above 9.0 and accelerates further at 9.6, reflecting how few high-grade copies survive relative to collector appetite for this particular story. No 9.8 has yet traded, underscoring both the rarity of pristine survivors and the premium the market is prepared to pay once one appears.
