The cover shows moderate wear consistent with a mid-grade copy: soft corners (especially lower left), light surface scuffing and minor color rubbing along the top edge, and a faint diagonal crease visible near the upper right corner box. The spine appears to have some minor stress lines but no major color breaks are visible from this angle. Book is in a protective sleeve which limits close inspection of edges; interior and back cover were not assessed.

Avengers #100 marks the series' 100th-issue milestone, published by Marvel in June 1972 as part of the Kang/Immortus-driven "Celestial Madonna" arc. Written by Roy Thomas with art by Barry Windsor-Smith, the issue is best remembered for its cover, which assembles nearly every Avenger who had served in the team's first hundred issues into a single crowded tableau, a checklist image that became one of the most reproduced Avengers covers of the Bronze Age. Mid- and low-grade copies serve as accessible reading and display copies for Avengers run-builders and Bronze Age generalists, trading in the tens of dollars and unlikely to see significant appreciation given the depth of census supply at those grades. The real collecting activity is at the high end, where 9.8 examples are actively pursued by cover-completists and anniversary-issue specialists willing to pay a substantial premium for a virtually flawless copy of one of the era's most recognizable group covers. Investors and dealers should treat this as a grade-sensitive title: unremarkable in raw or mid-grade form, but a legitimate high-value commodity at the top of the CGC census.
