THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #68
Silver Age Brave and the Bold team-up issue from DC's pre-Batman-solo era of the series

// Condition analysis
The cover shows moderate wear typical of a 1966 silver-age book: visible spine stress with light ticking along the spine edge, some corner softness at the top corners, and minor edge wear along the right border. There is slight surface rubbing and a small amount of color fading near the top checkerboard band. The book is protected in a plastic sleeve, which limits full assessment of edge chipping and creasing; interior pages and back cover were not visible for review.

// Archive commentary
The Brave and the Bold #68 arrived in late 1966 during the title's celebrated "try-out" phase, when editor Murray Boltinoff and writer Bob Haney used the book as a rotating showcase for DC's second-tier heroes before it settled into a dedicated Batman team-up format a few issues later. Issues from this run are valued today less for any single first appearance than for their place in a transitional, well-remembered stretch of Silver Age DC storytelling, distinguished by dynamic period artwork and the anthology-style unpredictability that made Brave and the Bold a favorite testing ground for characters who would later headline their own titles.
