Published with an April 1981 cover date under editor Julius Schwartz, DC Comics Presents #32 pairs Superman with Wonder Woman in "The Super-Prisoners of Love," scripted by Gerry Conway with art by Kurt Schaffenberger and Vince Colletta. The plot turns on the god Eros, who, spurned by Wonder Woman, strikes both heroes with love-arrows and forces a romance the Earth-One continuity had generally avoided; Aphrodite, Steve Trevor, Lois Lane and Lana Lang figure in the fallout. Ross Andru and Dick Giordano supply the cover image of the two leads embracing above Washington, and the issue carries a "Whatever Happened To…?" backup resolving the fate of Prince Ra-Man, drawn by Alex Saviuk, one of the Schwartz-era features that gave the title its reference value for continuity readers.
