Cover shows strong gloss and vibrant color with sharp corners and no visible creases or tears. There is minor edge wear along the top and right border and a couple of tiny surface nicks near the spine, but no color break visible. The book is in a protective sleeve, which limits full assessment of spine stress and surface sheen; interior and back cover were not assessed.

Marvel Tales #124 belongs to the long-running reprint anthology that, from the mid-1960s onward, recycled Amazing Spider-Man stories for a new generation of newsstand readers who had missed the originals. By this point in the series' second volume, the title was working its way through Spider-Man tales from the early 1970s, giving readers access to Stan Lee-era and post-Lee plotting alongside artwork originally rendered by the Amazing Spider-Man bullpen of that period. The book carries no new material of its own; its entire purpose was economical reprinting, packaged with a fresh cover for the newsstand rack.
As a reprint issue with no first appearance, no origin story, and no landmark creative milestone, Marvel Tales #124 has never carried meaningful collector demand beyond completists assembling a full run of the title. The absence of a published fair-market value reflects this squarely: the book trades at or near its original cover price in raw form, and even certified copies see infrequent sales driven more by grade novelty than by content. Interest is narrow and steady rather than active.
This is a reader's copy through and through, suited to Spider-Man completists, Marvel Tales run-builders, or newcomers seeking an inexpensive way to read early-1970s Spider-Man stories without chasing expensive original issues. Across grades it remains inexpensive in raw form, with even high-grade slabbed examples commanding only modest premiums; it is not a book bought for appreciation, but for the story between its covers.
