Cover shows sharp corners, strong color and gloss with no visible creases or spine stress lines. Edges appear clean with no chipping evident; the book is in a protective sleeve which limits full assessment of surface sheen. Interior and back cover were not assessed, so grade is based solely on the visible front cover.

Ghost #20 is a late-run installment of Dark Horse Comics' ongoing Ghost series (volume 1), cover dated 1999. The character, a gun-wielding supernatural vigilante created by Eric Luke and Adam Hughes in 1994, was one of Dark Horse's higher-profile creator-owned properties of the era, known for its noir-tinged supernatural plotting and good-girl art sensibility. By issue #20 the book had passed through several creative hands; this issue is written by Mike Kennedy with art by Cliff Richards and a cover by Ryan Benjamin, with additional credited work from Steve Moncuse. It features Ghost alongside the supporting character Towering Chris and falls late enough in the series' run (which concluded around issue #27) that it postdates the character's peak visibility.
The issue carries no first appearance, death, or other event typically cited by price guides, and it has not attracted meaningful aftermarket demand beyond completists working through the Ghost run. As a mid-to-late issue of an already niche 1990s Dark Horse title, it circulates in the market much like other unremarkable back issues of the period: plentiful in back-issue bins and long boxes, with negligible scarcity pressure. Submission volume to grading services for this specific issue is very low, which affects certified pricing more than any inherent collector demand.
The likely buyer is a Ghost or Dark Horse completist filling out a run, or a reader interested in the character's supernatural-noir aesthetic and the guest creative team on this issue. Raw copies in any condition trade near cover price and are easy to source. Certified high-grade copies are uncommon simply because few collectors bother to submit a book like this, so a 9.8 slab, when one appears, sells for a modest premium driven by rarity of the label rather than any surge in demand for the title itself.
