Team Titans #9 (June 1993) is part of the short-lived DC Comics spinoff that grew out of the New Titans' "Titans Hunt" and "Team Titans" storylines, introducing a squad of time-displaced heroes assembled to combat the tyrant Lord Chaos and his agents. The series was conceived amid the early-1990s speculator boom and launched with considerable promotional fanfare, including multiple simultaneous first issues, but by issue #9 the title had settled into the workmanlike serialized plotting typical of Titans-family books of the period, continuing the arcs of characters such as Deathwing, Terra II, Mirage, Battalion, Nightrider, Killowat, Redwing, and Baby Wildebeest.
