Secret Origins was DC's post-Crisis on Infinite Earths anthology title, launched to codify and re-tell the origins of the newly streamlined DC Universe for a fresh generation of readers. This eighth issue, cover-dated November 1986, arrived early in the series' fifty-issue run and is understood to have featured the retold origin of the Blue Beetle, one of the Charlton Comics heroes DC had recently absorbed into its main continuity, alongside back-matter material typical of the format.
