// Condition analysis
Cover shows sharp corners and clean edges with strong gloss retained on the foil-embellished logo. No visible creases, spine stress, or color breaking along the spine in this photo. The book is bagged, and the barcode area shows the 'Direct Sales' marker rather than a UPC scan box, consistent with a direct edition; slight glare from the protective sleeve limits full assessment of surface sheen. Back cover and interior were not assessed.

Rage #0 is a 1994 DC Comics one-shot/prologue issue built around the character Rage, one of several new metahumans introduced during DC's early-1990s "Bloodlines" annuals crossover. Following the era's common marketing gimmick, the zero-numbered issue was used to flesh out the character's origin ahead of an ongoing or miniseries push, presenting backstory material for a figure who had debuted a year earlier in the annual line rather than here. It arrived at the tail end of the Bloodlines wave, when DC was still testing which of that event's new characters (Anima, Hitman, Gunfire, among others) could support their own book.
The issue trades today as a standard piece of mid-1990s direct-market output: printed in the high volumes typical of the period's speculator-driven market, with no meaningful scarcity in any grade and no first appearance or landmark creative credit attached to it. Rage never developed into a heavily collected character, and the broader Bloodlines cast has drawn only intermittent nostalgia interest rather than sustained demand, so the book has not generated a track record of significant sales at any grade level.
Collecting interest in Rage #0 is limited to completists working through the Bloodlines family of characters or DC's 1990s output more broadly, and to bargain-bin browsers filling out runs. Raw copies in any condition are readily available and inexpensive, and even a top-graded slab is more a curiosity for grading-population chasers than a book with an established collector base. It is a reasonable, low-cost addition to a 1990s DC survey collection rather than a book bought on its own merits.
